Henry Cocke and wife, Katherine Cocke, of Surry County to William Thompson of Sussex County for 75 pounds current money... 250 acres (being land James Adams bought from William Savidge with 100 acres being bought by Savidge fro Joseph Collier) bounded by the Bowling Alley line and the Miry Branch. James Adams deeded the 100 acres to Henry Cocke on 16Jan1774 and the other 150 acres was bought by said Adams from Jeremiah Stephens on 15Apr1755 and is bounded by Johnshehawkin Swamp and John Cocke. A deed for both tracts to Henry Cocke was dated 23Nov1772.
